Could we defeat Reflublican redistricting

by invading the traditionally republican rural areas? What if more young (an older) liberals and democrats were encouraged to settle in rural areas. Just complete migratory warfare. Invade and overwhelm whether they welcome us there or not. Establish new and strong rural pockets of democrats with a stubborn (we're not leaving) pioneer attitude. Maybe even inciting such a there-goes-the-neighborhood response from rural republicans that they pack up and leave, eventually surrendering rural districts to us?

Just a thought.

How about just educating voters, registering the Dems, and GOTV. Coyotl Jan 2013 #2
Young, educated liberals need jobs. Rural areas don't offer good jobs for educated people. JDPriestly Jan 2013 #3

Gated community for all ages. I would love see the reaction of the pubs. Wait until the gerrymandering is done. Buy the land. Get the permits without them knowing that progressives will be moving in. I can dream, eh?

They also don't offer jobs for union workers. In fact, they don't offer a lot of jobs for anyone. Seniors could move to rural areas except their children might object because the hospitals and other medical care are not as good as they are in cities.
