Marijuana Mouth Spray Sativex May Hit Shelves By 2013

...

Seven countries including the UK, Spain and Germany have approved Sativex to treat patients with multiple sclerosis. Makers GW Pharmaceuticals hopes the drug will be used as a prescribed replacement to medical marijuana in the United States.

Patients take the drug by spraying it into their mouths like a breath spray with a dosage meter. This way, GW Pharmaceuticals says people can derive maximum benefit from the drug without feeling a “high.”

...

Sativex contains pure amounts of delta 9-THC and cannabidiol – marijuana’s two best-known active ingredients and is the world’s first pharmaceutical drug made from grown marijuana rather than its synthetic equivalent. The drug is grown under computer-monitored conditions in secret greenhouses located in southern Britain.

I don't smoke at all, I take the pure THC capsules and I'm telling yu that if you're talking it for a disease like Cancer, you don't necessarily get high. It helps with pain and bestows peaceful pain free sleep. I can speak for other people but for me, it's not a matter of getting high....AT ALL.

along with pain, that "soaks up" the THC. The body uses it for pain and symptom control. in my experience.

recreational good?

Kind of what i meant on restoring honesty to the debate.

If the medicinal applications can be provided without the high, it sort of displays those who use it recreationally without growing their own as sociopathic misanthropes.

Perhaps instead of fining and jailing them, order them to tour a few Mexican morgues so they can enjoy what they pay for.

And I'd rather have the recreational users get a "medical condition" and get their pot from an MMJ shop - at least where I live, the MMJ places grow their own instead of getting ditch weed from the Mexican gangsters...

And if it was all legal, the Mexican gangsters would be out of business and we wouldn't have so many corpses in Mexican morgues, would we?

It's the same problem that we faced when America had a dumbass attack, banned alcohol in the 20's and created business opportunities for such upstanding citizens as Al Capone...

no matter how much it galls me to reward those without a conscience.

I suppose part of it is a morbid interest in what new hell they can bring upon other people with their quest for an ephemeral "high". Considering what they already support, it is sure to be even more gruesome.

As far as the crime going away, you should never discount the black market, people being people and all.

But chances are you're posting this on a computer assembled in a sweatshop or wearing clothes stitched by underage women forced to OD on birth control and working in a nation ruled by a military dictatorship installed to assure the unregulated working conditions and tax-free exports continue. Or perhaps you ate lunch today, featuring food harvested or butchered by desperate illegal immigrants earning less than the minimum wage. You have to accept that either we all have blood on our hands, or we just don't have that much control over some of the uglier aspects of the modern world economy.

a big pharma racket, or tax and grab racket for pot. (tax and grab adopted recently as a party platform for the Liberals here in Canada). Whether for medicinal or recreational use, I simply think it should be decriminalized so people could grow their own. But, I'm also not saying that their isn't a place for non-high pharmaceuticals, there should be freedom for both.

I believe you should have the option of whether you feel like treating your symptoms without getting high, or getting high, depending on your particular mood on any particular day. So hopefully this product makes that a possibility for you... now we just have to get over this marijuana prohibition nonsense, and then everything will be gravy.

does not that make you inherently dishonest?

Since there was no taunting, just an observation that those who want a quick high are hiding behind medical marijuana (cowards and liars that they are), now that the "high" has been removed we can expect them to rush to support this new drug....
