Watching "The Future Of Conservatism" on C-SPAN

Some of what I am hearing is laughable! Nothing but excuses, excuses, excuses! They are blaming anything and everything EXCEPT the policies of the GOP! "It was the candidate, it was the messaging, etc." They are also in complete denial that a MAJORITY of America supports many of the "liberal" ideas!! One woman was convinced that the American people are going to soundly reject the "liberal" agenda that was the President's inaugural address.

This is really infuriating. This constant shop-talk about how conservatives and the Republican Party can get in together again and win and revitalize. Every TV station (save for MSNBC) and all the major newspapers and magazines won't shut up about it.

The right wing controls way too much of the media spot time. John McCain and Paul Ryan on the Sunday morning talk shows spewing their garbage, makes me ill.

But they won't say what their ideas are or how they are better. I guess we're just supposed to take their word.

and was impressed by the lack of excuses, and denial. Maybe all that's in the earlier part. Didn't see any women.

they just couldn't believe the president won reelection. That was the rightwing bubble. All they do is talk, talk, talk and say nothing. They have to reach out to the people who want to keep the safety net.

bobby Jindal states that it's important for the brand just back away from the idiocy of the past. Interesting that he gives state money to schools that teach creationism. So the Republican brand is not really interested in any change of anything that would bring them into the 21st century.

on a panel talking about liberalism and the future of it. if I was on it, I can't imagine saying, "Well, it's dying because fewer people believe in it" What would you say?

On edit: That's is what is SO good about being on the side of good vs greed and bigotry. It is much easier to defend good and it will eventually prevail.
