Maybe its time for a Women Senate Majority Leader

And I think WA Senator Patty Murray is just the person for the job. She does not back down and will not take guff from the other side in the Senate.

I believe that if she was SML that we would have new Senate rules and those repukes would have to explain their objections to bills brought before them.

oh, pretty much forever, I see the context of your proposal, but as someone familiar with the record and personality of Patty Murray, I would recommend her regardless of gender.

It would be nice to see a few women who are used to taking no shit in that ego farm.

Reid has done a lot of good things, very quietly. He's just caved on many of the wrong things, the big issues like reining in Republican abuse of the filibuster. I wonder about his priorities.

If you've ever had surgery and had some nurse shove morphine into your IV then stuff her foot up your ass to get you moving when you least wanted to, you'll know what I'm talking about here when I say the Senate desperately needs us.

Oh, don't look at me, I'm disqualified by having gone through the 60s. My closets are not only full of skeletons, they're still partying in there.

However, I can think of few other professions the Senate needs more desperately among its ranks. I generally prefer lawyers to write laws, but they have simply not been capable of doing their jobs for a very long time. Perhaps an infusion of tough women would shape them up.
