More shenanigans from an at one time law abiding gun owner. Luckily no tragedy, just a lockdown.
But this one hits my home town and a school district attended by my kids. It has me especially irritated.
January 28, 2013 - At approximately 10:40 a.m., the District received a communication from the Neenah Police Department informing us that the issue explained below has been resolved. At this time, Roosevelt Elementary School has resumed their normal activities.
The details:
At approximately 10:05 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2012, the Neenah Joint School District received a communication that Theda Clark Hospital near Roosevelt Elementary School was in a "lock down." District Administration confirmed the Theda Clark Hospital lock down with the Neenah Police Department. Theda Care in Menasha originally received a communication that a male armed gunman may be planning an attack on his wife's physician. The physician also works at Theda Clark Hospital, resulting in a lock down of that facility. Due to the proximity of Theda Clark Hospital to Roosevelt Elementary School, Roosevelt students and staff remained in their classrooms engaged in learning. In addition, any visitor was highly monitored prior to entering the building.
An all clear notification from Neenah Police Department came at 10:40 a.m. Roosevelt Elementary School has resumed their daily activities.
