More than half of television weather reporters are climate deniers

Forecast The Facts Exposes America’s Climate-Denier TV Weathermen
By Brad Johnson on Jan 20, 2012 at 2:57 pm

America’s television meteorologists are the primary source of climate information for most Americans, and are second only to scientists — who have much less access to the general public — in the level of trust they are given. Yet more than half of TV weather reporters don’t believe in human-induced climate change, even as our poisoned weather grows more extreme.

At the link you will find many ignorant words from the people reporting the weather on your nightly news, here are just a few choice quotes.

“I have always thought we should celebrate and be thankful we live in a time when it is warmer, not curse it. It allows us to grow food and feed the population — and the warming is slow and we can adapt to it.”
- Jym Ganahl
WCMH-TV

“If you don’t believe in God and creationism then I can see why you would easily buy into the whole global warming fanfare. I think in many ways that’s what this movement is ultimately out to do – rid the mere mention of God in any context. What these environmentalists are actually saying is “we know more than God – we’re bigger than God – God is just a fantasy – science is real…He isn’t…listen to US!” I have a huge problem with that.”
- Chris Allen
WBKO-TV Bowling Green, KY

“It is pretty widely accepted that the earth has been cooling for the past several years"
- Dave Dahl
KSTP-TV Minneapolis, MN

These are the people the corporate media has chosen to teach Americans about climate.

for advice about investing. One has a time horizon measured in days and hours, the other in years. Two different things entirely.
Meteorologists aren't trained to look at long-term trends. Climatologists are. The two have very little to do with each other.

They are closely enough related that in order to be a credible meteorologist you need to have at least a decent understanding of climate. Some of the ignorance quoted at the link is totally inexcusable for someone who is presented on television as a credible source.

“We’re talking about the greatest hoax in history, let’s understand this. There is no man made global warming. The whole thing is a phony call for quick action. Their support is collapsing amid a turn to much colder weather worldwide. Half of the people in the United States are now saying global warming? You gotta be kidding me.” [CNN, 01/31/09]

He is really bad. I swear, the one here is a mild one.

one of the shows was on reporters. In one a female reporter was crouched down behind a car giving her live report about a shoot-out with the police. When her report was over she stands up. She was never in any danger. It was an act to make her report seem exciting.

Today's reporters are trained to babble on cue whether they know anything or not. In fact, the less they know the better. Wouldn't want to upset someone who was enjoying their morning "news".

And there is no "belief" in science. You either understand it or you don't. Obviously these maroons don't understand it.

And that idiot Dave Dahl is one of the weathermen on my local news. He can't pronounce half of the words he says and slurs constantly. Why he's on the air is beyond me.

then they will be forced to go look for another $10.00 per hour job where they expect them to do physical labor.
