"I think video games is a bigger problem than guns" - GOPer Lamar Alexander

Yes, what is Mario's death toll now?

CHUCK TODD: Can you envision a way of supporting the universal background checks bill?

LAMAR ALEXANDER: Chuck, I'm going to wait and see on all these bills. I think video games is a bigger problems than guns, because video games affect people.

It's not video games, it's not movies, it's the people behind the guns and the guns.

4. So if I made a video game out of Lamar Alexander voting for background checks

he'd vote for the bill because the video game affected him?

Exactly how many people have done things they didn't want to because of some video game as opposed to say being under the threat of violence from a gun. I've never heard of someone mugging someone in the streets by pointing a video game at them.

You know what I think is a bigger problem than video games or guns... really stupid pointless politicians. They do vastly more harm than anything to society.

Video games *ARE* a bigger problem in society. Not is. That should really disqualify the argument right there.

We had plenty of violence in America long before video games. That statement is as ignorant as blaming everything on guns.
