Old, but interesting news. John Tyler has garandchildren: ALIVE!

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/01/28/thats-old-school-u-s-president-john-tyler-born-in-1790-has-two-living-grandsons/

The grandsons of John Tyler—born in 1790, who took office as America’s 10th president in 1841, and died in 1862 before the end of the Civil War—are still kickin’...So how is it that two grandsons were born almost 140 years after their grandfather? Two successive generations of men who fathered children at advanced ages—even by today’s standards—with much younger wives.

I always thought this was just cool

Granted, Tyler was significanly older than GC, but it's still a cool connection to the past:

George Cleveland, the grandson of President Grover Cleveland is in Hawaii with a purpose.

When his grandfather was president in his second term he asked Congress to restore the Hawaiian kingdom to the Monarchy. He is here as part of the Grover Cleveland - Queen Liliuokalani Education Project which promotes peace and forgiveness.

"And to try and create a better understanding of what those two individuals had going on in their minds during 1893 during those dark days," said George Cleveland, President Cleveland's grandson.

He says President Cleveland was friends with Queen Liliuokalani.

And, he looks remarkably like his grandfather:
