I had a good karma experience today that I want to share....

Sunday I noticed I lost the diamond out of my wedding ring. I have been devastated since then. I found out it would cost me $6,000 to get the same diamond my husband brought me in 1993. Today I made plans to go to the Jewelry Mart to look at a Zirconium but $6000 would be better spent elsewhere. But something told me to look in my purse. I emptied it out and there was the diamond! I feel so elated and happy. I found flowers candy and a beautiful card from my husband this AM. I am so happy I had to share. I hope you all have a great Valentines Day and am passing my good luck on to everyone here on DU.

you could take a look at the prongs yourself. If the stone is loose or a prong is worn or moved, get a map of your stone when you take it in for repair.

YMMV

Happy V-Day!

Similar happened to me, years ago. Engagement ring is unusual, like this:

Noticed the malachite was missing one morning (years ago,) and very upset. Fortunately daughter was a rugrat at the time, and she found it, on the floor, near her bedroom.

one thing I wish I could do is to tap into that "something told me" energy and harness it to work for me on a consistent basis. The wonders I could perform! LOL

I bet you were ecstatic. I have lost stones from rings and never found them. I am sure this is a very happy Valentine's Day for you and your husband.

and use bluenile.com.

Speaking from many years in the business, with a national jewelry store (do not buy from them unless you want some junk!) and other parts of the industry...most of which has vanished because nobody can compete with those guys.

They do a good job of eliminating uncertainty and educating their clients, which is a pretty good thing.

I have no affiliation, unfortunately!

Same thing happened to me. Same price, bought same year!!! AMAZING! (Really, I was half wondering if I had written your post!) However, I never found mine, sad to say. I was SO SO SO SO SAD! I have no idea where it went. Could be in a purse, I guess. I never checked there. But sweet hubby replaced my stone with CZ this Christmas so all is good and I am just as happy.

Bottom line: Have your prongs checked by a jeweler every year! I never did and that puppy's somewhere out there (or in there?) and who knows when and if it will be seen by human eyes?

My Mom lost her diamond about 15 years ago. We believe it slipped off in the trash.

After carrying in groceries from the garage I noticed my diamond was gone. Major panic ensues. My 14 year old daughter immediately went into the garage and found it on the running board of our SUV. I think I had been hitting it against the door when I got out of the car. I am forever grateful for her coolheadedness.

I am so happy you found it!
