Guess who was sure Global Warming was real.....

Charlton Heston's character in Soylent Green was laughing about the Greenhouse Effect with Edward G. Robinson.

Way back in 1973 they were aware of global Warming.

And yet, with all the sign pointing to is, we still have people who believe God is in charge and that there is no global climate change.

I think people really know that something is going on that bodes ill for the Human Race but choose to pass it off as God's Will or whatever people who believe believe.

It is funny, they are more willing to believe that a malevolent god would punish the world because of the sins of the wicked but cannot get their hands around the idea that adding billions of ton of climate changing compounds into the atmosphere is beyond the pale.

And so they just give up, and let God handle it.

It's just easier.

She says: "Here, I give you evidence that your current means of existence are going to poison future generations. Will you change?"

The world answers "hell no!"

And thus the future fate of the world is decided, bed made, now to be layed in.

When I talk to fundies, the issue isn't about whether they are willing to NOT believe in God. They are. But they assume that there are two ways, either Pat Robertson fundy God, or no God: A world where murder, rape, and all sins are rewarded. What they are unwilling to believe in is a world where moral consequences apply, but its not necessarily exactly as the Republican faith has taught them. Yet this is where reality lies.

two days later, it rained like hell, the temperature hit 50F and all of the snow melted! Oh, my head. What is one to believe? Ah, well, at least we're not living in Cordova, Alaska.

You must understand that to those people they are never, ever to blame for a single thing that happens. They are but pawns in the hands of Fate who can't be expected to think for themselves because they have God's messengers to do their thinking for them. If it weren't for God's messengers then Satan would be King.

Right/wrong, black/white all are directly linked to God/Satan stinking thinking.
