"Flextronics Industrial, the Singapore solar panel manufacturer that partnered with Amonix to staff the new $18 million, 214,000-square-foot plant, laid off about 200 of its 300-plus employees Tuesday."

Flextronics is one of the major contract manufacturing companies -- not as big as Foxconn, but in the same business and in the same league. These contract manufacturers will not keep any employees that they don't actually need to fill orders.
