...and hopefully his political ambitions and career will be terminated by the Wisconsin voters. He's no shoe-in for re-election...especially if Russ Feingold decides to get in the race. As far as him being a presidential candidate in 2016...the more clowns in that demolition derby the better...

5. He overcame historic protests of his policies, and easily won a recall vote against him.

Even the progressive media (i.e. Rachel Maddow called his win while Milwaukee voters were still voting). He's been able to gut labor laws in Wisconsin. I don't see even Feingold being able to beat him.

10. The Recall Had Lots Of Problems...

...I'm just south of the "cheddar curtain" and did some canvassing and petitioning in 2011 for the recall and had several friends who were heavily involved in the effort. There were a lot of elections leading up to that recall...the recall of several State Senators that led to a tied Senate and then the Judicial election...fatigue was setting in. While I admire and give a lot of credit to those who worked real hard to obstruct and stop Walker, even they got tired of the constant campaigning and protesting...and voters did as well. Exit polls showed that Walker got votes from "moderates" who didn't like the recalls and felt there was outside (union) meddling. True or not, I heard this on several occasions as to why the energy level in the recall declined in its waning days...the problems with counting the votes was just icing on the cake.

The Democrats did win the state last year...with a far more focused and better financed campaign. Hopefully OFA, Labor and other organizations have had the chance to recharge and learn from past mistakes...and for the voters to have had enough of the union busting and corruption that surrounds Walker.

Cheers...

Koch fiend. But I just think everyone can see through Koch straw by now. My biggest confidence, though, lies in the fact that we're a majority liberal, left-of-center nation that has learned it's lesson with bush/cheney/wolfowitz/rove and has elected a Democratic president the last two elections showing a massive momentum in our direction. Walker is not enough to halt that momentum and turn it around to their advantage.

Just my 2¢...for now.

If he can totally take over Wisconsin, as he has, he certainly has the support of the redder and semi-red states. Eight years of Obama, and the public will forget the lessons of bush/cheney/wolfowitz/rove. Americans have a short attention span, and we'll all be hurting from sequestration austerity and looking to blame someone. I predict, America will blame the Democrats.
