My email to Mika B. re her statement today

that the Democrats haven't offered anything in their budget to save money in Medicare spending:

Mika:

You said the Democrats don't say anything about their plan to cut Medicare and yet earlier this week you had Rep. Van Hollen on the show and he carefully went through the cuts in the Dems budget. You were sitting at the table! Did you not HEAR him?

Or, is it because you didn't want to hear what he had to say. He didn't say cut the EARNED BENEFITS of Medicare recipients. There are other ways and he outlined those ways.

It is clear that you are working hand in glove with the Republicans whose cynical plan to "say" they are in favor of "saving" Medicare by cutting Medicare benefits.

I'm old enough to remember the Vietnam War and the statement "We had to destroy the village to save the village."

Next time LISTEN!

Your letter will never see the light of day past DU.

....UNLESS,...... you send your grievance letter to OTHER (same time slot) morning programs and let them do the talking. Its not guaranteed but your grievance letter could serve the morning competition well.........JMO!

besides, I wanted them to know we are "onto" their little game. I'm hearing more about "false equivalency" from panelists on MJ these days. I'm also hearing the liberal case for saving money in Medicare, not by raising the eligibility age but by LOWERING it! I was shocked when I heard the editor of Time Magazine talk about that vis a vis an article on health care they ran a couple of weeks ago.

So we have to batter them with the truth and let them know we are not fooled...

I notice that JoScar (as PK calls him) has gotten over his hissy fit about Paul Krugman. It was really making him look foolish...esp. since Alan blinder blasted JoScar in Politico on Joe's complete LIE about what Blinder said...

Their mean, twisted fantasy is that somehow Medicare (and Social Security) recipients are freeloaders, when they are using INSURANCE programs for which they've paid premiums! That's the talking point I'd like to see reiterated every day on every yelling heads show.

Her job is to sit there and decorate the set. Be pretty. Speak when you are allowed to speak, but otherwise just sit there and basically do nothing--just be pretty--which requires little work. It's why she was hired.

For the longest time, she expresses herself by shifting around in her chair, rolling her eyes, pursing her lips, wiggling, etc., and is basically a puppet for the show.

Mourning Joe is a joke. Scarborough takes trips down memory lane frequently: "When I was in Congress, we...", "back in my days in Congress...", "I worked with...". It's all about Joe, all the time. Stroke his ego, make him feel good, be sure he looks good, appears intelligent, and don't challenge him.

That's why I rarely watch, and when I do I don't last long.

She really doesn't give a damn as long as she can sell those books like Tweety.

In Medicare, which extends full benefits by 7 years. That is already done and Republicans want to do away with those savings, although Ryan double counts that when he keeps the savings in his budgets but eliminates the means for those savings by full repeal of Obamacare.

That $716M is not serious, according to them.

Morning JOe is rapidly becoming obsolete because it denies reality. And the media is being called out for not reporting the whole truth because the Internet is doing the job of the journalists. They can't get away with the lies promoted by the repukes the way they did during the buildup to the Iraq War. They are trying to marginalize the voices of those in the media saying there are other ways to reform health care spending and not cutting earned benefits but they are losing.

Let me say two words "Vanity Fair". Spare me this "Women are as good as men" from Mika. She's so plastic. I much prefer Rachel Maddow or any other woman on MSNBC. Most of the women are very good at their job. Mike is a table dressing. Google it, or Bing it in Vanity Fair. Talk about priorities being all screwed up. Fake is as Fake does.

That way at least it'll get seen. At least some people will see it. It's one way to "put it out there." She needs to hear this perspective. I'm not sure she delves into our side of the political aisle all that much.

For Mika, she knows she's got nothing better than the show that she's on; playing the roll of the "democratic view" against the Republican disgraced rep (who I'm not sure shouldn't be in jail, but we will never know about that because absolutely no one investigated the death of his intern).

She's cozy with her elite station in life. She doesn't want to give up her "good life". She is in the bubble and knows she wants to stay in the bubble. She's basically used her Daddy connection to achieve her spot. If she were too strong and stood up the the asshole who sits to her left everyday, he would want her gone. Joe needs a weak woman who hangs off of him and bobbles her head in agreement. Joe Scar couldn't handle being next to someone like Rachel or MHP or Joy Reid. Joe doesn't want to feel emascualted by a strong woman with valid facts and educated dialogue.

So, as an audience, we get a bunch of Republican talking points and a few "gosh Joe" with arm pats when she disagrees. The show is a fake equivalency of an AM political bubble talk where the arguments and days news center around Republican talking points and then Democrats appearing on the networks the rest of the day are having to argue against the Republican clap trap. Basically, the morning news programs set up the rest of the day's topics for everyone. By the time the PrimeTime big wigs appear, they are basically creating a show around dispelling the day's talking points with data and facts, however, most of America is watching "Dancing with the Stars" or "American Idol"' so they really don't get a chance to hear reality vs. republican talking points that aren't based on facts.

It's about time the rich are eaten... LOL.

because Mika is a high profile one who feeds the stereotype of the 'dumb blonde' just about every time she opens her mouth. And when she isn't babbling or having a phony hissy fit she looks like she's spaced out and in la la land. I doubt she was capable of understanding Van Hollen's explanation if she even heard it. She's on the show to nod her head when Joe Scarborough pontificates and to read something aloud to participants and viewers and that's about it.

If she had real integrity, she would get off that show.
