yes, the third graphic comes from a rw site - I found it googling images. but look at these three maps and read Jesus' parable below.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me

Actually many of them think wine was drunken, but there is no reason we should do so now.

(53,661 posts)They say eternity matters most, but don't live that way. One can argue they simply disagree with the method by which this is to be enacted, but they love their own luxuries more than anything else. They don't follow anything that Jesus said to do. And it shows.

(2,594 posts)My wife and I agree completely. It is sad. Especially since the bible is so clear.
But C.S. Lewis really nailed it in "The Screwtape Letters".

(1,290 posts)I know there is a joke in there somewhere (my minister is always joking about the Baptists), but it it too serious to joke about. Its just that facts are facts.

(12,482 posts)there are even quite liberal Baptist churches - not part of the Southern Baptist Convention .
Most of my family (older members) are Baptists the younger generation (relative concept) have either gone agnostic or joined mainstream liberal denominations like the Presbyterian or Episcopal church. My parish priest still can't get over the fact I sit in the back pew regardless of attendance (a Baptist thing).
Here are a couple of Baptist jokes I recall.
If you take a Baptist fishing, be sure to invite a second one so the first one won't drink all your beer.
Did you know Baylor University banned pre-marital sex? They say it could lead to dancing.

(3,908 posts)When Dad was a teen everyone went to the dance at tiny Lynd in SW MN. While the other kids were dancing Dad said the Baptists were out necking. He thought he would rather have his kids dancing so Mom (also baptized Baptist) and Dad were married in the Methodist Church.
Dad always planned ahead.

(12,482 posts)they are not orthodox Christians (not, like greek orthodox, but everything from catholic to Anglican to greek orthodox to Pentecostal to Baptist.) by this I mean that their further revelation through the book of Mormon put them outside what is considered orthodox Christianity.
that isn't an insult, just a theological observation.
