Is there anyone out there who feels that Obama..

actually has an overall plan to blow the Republicans out of the water??

Or is he as many claim just finally showing us his true centrists colors at the expense of those who counted on his Promise of Change...

But I fear this is just the beginning of more to come in the "centrists" and "reaching out to the insane GOP" mode, and this time Obama really really means it. Brace yourself, in other words.

at the end of the last Congress, when he forced them to blink on an extension of the Bush tax cuts for the working and middle classes, while managing to raise taxes on the well-off. Believe me, the Repukes haven't forgotten how he played them, and they've vowed to do whatever it takes, including shutting down the government, to keep it from happening again.

One of two things happen, either they get most of their way, or there's gridlock and shutdown.

Then we have to get on the war path and blame the Republicans every freaking day, 24/7...for consequences..

This process should already have begun... Obama must lead this relentless charge... I hope he’s up for it.
No question. His legacy will rely heavily on it..

shutting down the economy. The rich aren't too worried, yes, they'd love to make money for the next 3-4 years, but they've got more than enough to tough it out. I'm worried about the folks who are going to run out of unemployment, or who already have, and are not going to get jobs for that long. They can't hang tough for much longer.

It becomes a generational war, the older folks seeming to quibble over a few dollars way off in the future, versus those who need jobs NOW. The Repukes are really good at playing divide and conquer, I have no doubt they've already written the spin on this one.

has accomplished much in his first four years (fear not - I won't post the much-dreaded "List" of those achievements again. It is readily available to those interested in facts rather than rhetoric.)

After re-election, Obama said he would take the important issues "directly to the American people". And he is doing just that. He continually offers the GOP what they have long claimed is necessary in the best interests of the nation. And the nation has watched as the Republican PTB have steadfastly refused what they claim is 'necessary'.

Obama is still the smartest mofo in the room. He didn't win the presidency TWICE by virtue of being as stupid as some posters here want everyone to believe he is. But since the hair-on-fire brigade are now welcome on a "Democratic-supporting website", we who post here have no choice but to hear/read their BS and pretend that they - like the GOP - have the country's best interests at heart.

The "Promise of Change" has been fulfilled in many ways - from the repeal of DADT, to the presidential recognition and support of GLBT rights, to a healthcare initiative that covers millions of Americans who were previously denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions - ah, yes, the dreaded "List" goes on.

But let's ignore those achievements. Let's ignore everything that has been accomplished. Let us instead pretend that those things are meaningless, and focus on the what-ifs that will never come to pass, and tear our hair out over what will never come to fruition.

Yeah, THAT'S the ticket! Let's all get on the Obama doesn't know what he's doing bandwagon - as stated by anonymous posters on a message board! Surely THEY know what's going on, whereas the POTUS doesn't have a clue!

Much has been said on this website about playing political chess. And the remarks of some here are clearly indicative of those who find checkers far too intellectually challenging to suit their simple-minded criteria.

good for us to get screwed.

It seems to me that the chained CCPI hits Boehner's base too hard for him to entertain it. Not to mention the white tea partiers of or approaching retirement age. One can hope. We won't know until we read Obama's post presidency memoirs.
