As always in the Presidential election years, national vote totals are meaningless, it is the individual states where data shows.

One would also have to take with a grain of salt that these are CNN polls, and who here believes in CNN for numbers?

Also, exit polls are only as good as the word of the people who answer them, and there was a direct Rush Limbaugh campaign to have people lie to the exit polls, to discredit them.

After all, there is no proof that a rightwing extremist doesn't say they are liberal and lie all the way through the poll.

The hard left might still have voted anyway, but that's about all they did.

Unless the Democratic party reacts quickly and forcefully to rebuke Obama, whether chained CPI passes or not I suspect that this next midterm is going to be a bloodbath for us. I think this time the left isn't simply going to blow off get out the vote efforts, I think many will blow off the entire farce.

The left will find any excuse possible to stay home in the midterms. Maybe if the public option was included in the Affordable Health Care Act more of the faithful would have come out. At least Obamacare was a step in the right direction.
