West Michiganders stay safe: Big storm coming in.

Also Tornado watch in effect for much of Michigan lower peninsula until 6PM.

I am going to move my car into the garage as this storm has been reported to have 3/4 inch hail.

We've had a lot of shitty weather here the past two months or so. The last week has featured flood warnings and advisories. All we need is more rain. The ground is saturated and a heavy storm isn't going to do us any good.

1. Is the storm they named ...Yogi?

Not only is naming winter storms a bad idea, the names they choose are ridiculous.
Storm before this was called..Xerxes.

2. Michigan TV stations don't name storms.

And neither does NOAA. Those are my only sources.

Severe T-storm warning for coastal counties in southwest MI and marine warnings for same. This looks like a bad storm. Down right scary on radar.

4. You are getting the top of that line of storms

we will be getting the bottom of the band tomorrow.

5. Hopefully it will diminish before it arrives here.

It's calm now, but we expect a big storm in the next couple of hours. I have moved my car into the garage in case of hail. Normally, I leave it out; a good spring shower rinses dirt roads' grime off. I will have no part of hail, though. I've seen what it can do to a car.

3. Tornado watch until 4PM for Mecosta, Newaygo, Oceana counties.

I live in rural Newaygo county. This storm is looking scary.

6. Tornado watch extended to 6 PM EDT.

And extended to large area of lower peninsula MI, essentially counties south of US-10.
