About all the threads lately about out-of-control-cop stories:

Do you think cops are actually getting worse, or are we just more likely to hear about these incidents because of the internet and cellphone cameras? I kind of think it might be a little of both myself.

Now we have cell phones with cameras and Youtube. If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't be hearing these stories at all.

It's scary that we have these laws now that make it illegal to film cops. They're emboldened by all these laws that protect them. If they aren't doing anything wrong, why are they afraid of being filmed? After all, isn't that the logic they use on us when we complain about the proliferation of cameras everywhere? Cops see these different standards for different groups and think they're untouchable. Unfortunately, in most circumstances they are.
