I personally believe we have to pay taxes and raise the taxes like crazy on the wealthy.

They believe no one should pay taxes and everything they want will magically get paid for.

They're against paying taxes. They love receiving taxes.

They've been pretty clear and straightforward about this since the beginning.

Assholes? Sure. Hypocrites? Maybe not in this case...
