Well it's over

I have not found a Video of the debate yet~

At least the first debate between Markey [D] and Gomez [R] Senate special election for John Kerry's seat.

IMHO Gomez looked and sounded the novice he is. He gestured with both hands eveytime he spoke (I hate that). He was also pictured with his hands behind the lectern with fists clenched and his thumbs stroking said fist, over and over.

I thought Markey, not only answered Gomez's standard BS responses and attacks, He said it passionately. Markey was kind of chuckling at some of what Gomez said.

Two more debates until June 25th election... Get out and vote Massachusetts!

Less than three weeks before the election, the hour-long forum gives each a chance to introduce or reintroduce himself to voters, knock his opponent, and attempt to cast the storyline of the compressed race in his favor. But, as with any live television event, opportunities abound for the candidates to stumble.

Gomez, a former Navy SEAL and essentially a political novice, will have to show command of the issues and break out beyond his usual sound bites. Markey, who started in Congress in 1976, will have to prove his long tenure in Washington has not sapped his passion for the policies that matter to Massachusetts voters.

Snip:

Voters will head to the polls on June 25 to pick their new senator. The seat became vacant when John F. Kerry resigned to become US secretary of state.

encouraging! I remember reading about Elizabeth and Scott Brown's debate and he was awful, rude, and useless.

It sounds like Gomez was along those lines? I mean really.. all they have is BS and how they Spin it.

Like VP Biden "chuckled" at Ryan?

ALLSTON - Steelworkers, carpenters, teachers, public employees – and a lone baritone sax player – rallied outside the WBZ-TV studios supporting Democratic Senate candidate Edward Markey on Wednesday night.

Snip:

As is typical before major campaign events, the Markey campaign staged a show of strength with around 150 supporters holding signs. Many, though not all, were union members, and some had stood outside since around 3 p.m. The Gomez campaign did not organize a rally and, unlike in the Republican primary debates, did not have any visible supporters standing outside.

“We’re not taking this lightly,” said Steven Tolman, president of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, which endorsed Markey.

That's what he gets for calling Congressman Markey, "pond scum". As usual the teabaggers have no f****** clue how to act. They think name calling will trump the issues and facts.
