Man gets DUI despite documented 0.000 blood alcohol content level

Pretty obvious DWB. And so far, it's cost him more than $5000.

SURPRISE, Ariz. - Jessie Thornton sleeps during the day and runs errands and works out during the night.

"My wife, she's an ER nurse and works three 12-hour shifts, so I adjusted my schedule to be like her schedule," said Thornton.

The 64-year-old retired firefighter moved to a retirement community in Surprise, Ariz., from Ohio.

Thornton says his late hours have put him in the police spotlight.

"I've been stopped 10 times in Surprise and given four tickets, it's amazing," said Thornton.

His latest incident with Surprise police officers prompted Thornton to hire a lawyer with plans to sue the department.

is part of the reason Araipo gets re.-elected. I guess the city cops think they're soft on crime relative to araipo. He probably would have had this guy in tent city.

I worked nights for over 20 years. When I stopped working, I tried to get back to normal hours. I gave it five years, five years of being mentally foggy, sleep deprived, and cranky.

A couple of years ago I just gave up and now I go to bed when I'm sleepy (2 AM-5 AM) and sleep until I wake up. The only problem is having very little time during regular business hours to get errands done.

Still, I understand about the nosy cops. Getting charged with DUI when he blew an 0.00 is just enough over the top that he's got a good chance to prove systematic harassment by the cops.

An obvious threat to Arizona and the United States. Lets lob charges at them and see what sticks.

Some days it is embarrassing to be Caucasian.

And I bet the poor guy had to pay to get his car back too.

Even when proven wrong, the police won't back down and their f@#%ing egos and testosterone end up costing us tax dollars in court costs. If it had to come out of their pocket, this crap would stop immediately.

I know, it's only a few of them. And this is an isolated incident.

I'm waiting to see why I should have respect or honor for law enforcement at all. All they have become (as they always are) are tools of the empowered and the elite to control the rest of the slobs.
