If the IRS is forced to rewrite their regulations concerning 501 (c)4 status to abide by LAW

as written, would that mean that groups that have had tax exempt status and engage in political activities would lose their status or would they be grandfathered in? I would hope they would be subject to the LAW as written, but this is America and the LAW is only for the regular folks and not for the privileged
