“The right of the people to be secure.....shall not be violated..."

The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

It appears that our government has forgotten what this means.

3. When th PNAC folks decided you didn't need your rights where were you?

Did you call every congress critter and voice your concern? I did and it still didn't help. This powerful group of conservatives waited for the magic opportunity of 911 and foisted their pre-designed Patriot Act on all who live and visit the US. This is where the damage was done. Is it like waking up from a twelve year nap? How have you not felt the weight of the Patriot Act all of these years? I want to know!

Don't let that stop you. Especially committee heads, who should be representing all Of the US.

Can you tell me why this issue has come to be Obamas' responsibility? I ask in a calm and inquiring way. How is such a powerless president supposed to change almost 100% of the minds in congress? He couldn't even get single payer done when he was new and fresh and still had his powers!

Let me explain. Since the Patriot Act was foisted on us I have felt like I was living in a dark prison cell. All of these years I have been in the dark, surrounded by my fellow Americans. All of us hostages, with our rights removed....and then suddenly yesterday I read that folks are outraged at what Obama has done to them! These folks are just now arriving in my dark cell and for the life of me I just can't figure out what took them so long to be incarcerated?

11. Pres. Obama could issue an EO today to tell all the federal LEO's

to knock off the spying on Americans, he does have that power and there's not a fucking thing Congress can do about it.

Pres. Obama is the CIC, ergo, this is now his problem and his defending this shit yesterday told me that he doesn't give two shits about individual freedoms.
WTF has our country come too?

...about how power taken is never given back. No president has ever done that.

Now of course President Obama could simply sign away this treasure. What do you think the fallout would be from CIA, FBI, and more importantly HS! *ell it gets all the way down to the local police departments. They love their overreach as well!

Do you think he would last a minute? This thing you think is so simple is out of control and way bigger than a flip of the pen! Be angry, that is fine but put it where it needs to be! If your congress critter that signed this is still in office then clean house for god's sake!

but he should have the balls to stand up to these alphabet agencies and say, enough is enough and knock it the fuck off, this issue isn't going away and I get the sense that the American people are fucking pissed off about this.

I've tried since the inception of the Patriot Act, what a misleading title that is, to convince my Senators/Congresspersons to oppose this heinous bill, to no avail, it truly is a corp. run govt.

With the actions of some DUER"S over the past couple of days towards LGBT people in general with all the rights we don't have welcome to our world.

Doesn't feel so good now does it?

Use Nazi terminology, get Nazi results.

At least we all have our guns to kill any government agents that come to our door.

ish sound to it is disturbing. And did we really need another national security department? NSA/CIA/FBI/DEA/ATF not enough to combat whatever windmill needs tilting?

More jobs for more bureaucrats imo.

Defend freedom of choice and you get called a libertarian.

Why the hell should I bother caring now - especially since I don't own a cell phone?
