Our $1 trillion chance (AVAAZ.org petition against tax havens): Please spread!

Posted: 6 June 2013
In days, (G8) governments will discuss whether to plug a gigantic $1 trillion per year corporate tax loophole - enough money to end poverty, put every child in school, and double green investment! Most governments want powerful multinationals to pay these taxes, but the US and Canada are on the fence. To get a deal, we need them to feel the pressure.

are we sure this is the right American thing to do?

I mean, it seems so unfair to those devotees of capitalism who have obtained their valuable prizes and even have a home version of the game.

Gold flake toilet people is actually a necessity at some point in your journey of financial acquisition. Aren't we all supposed to follow the yellow brick road of the highfalutin, so that we can find out just how picky and choosy a person can get and also discover just how many houses and cars it is comfortable to own?

If we put pressure on the adepts of affluence, then we may short-change ourselves when it comes to the experience of being able to treat our lessors terribly and actually get away with it.

Well, I am willing to miss out on that and the dozens of other perks that you acquire the rights to on the diamond stream of elitism. I think it comes down to some virus of altruism I picked-up while watching the homeless, (and I am close to being there) with their cardboard membership cards asking for spare change.

OK, then. I'm in, but oh all the wonders that may not be available SOME DAY when my turn comes and I have enough cash to stash in secret, tax-free caves.

then some other workers are employed to sell them at luxury stores

then some accountants are employed to balance the sheets of those luxury stores

and on, and on,

But... why are all of them required to pay ALL their taxes, while their employers can legally buy some tax-free laws so they can get away with paying nothing?
