It's about time he realized that the old GOP wasn't what it used to be, anymore! It's even worse!

I remember when Bob got along so swimmingly with some of the same scoundrels who are still in Washington today trashing the country.

Sorry Bob, but my sympathy office is closed due to a pretty good memory.

I couldn't believe how bad Mr. Dole looked on the TV the other day. He looked like he'd been using methamphetamine instead of Viagra for the past ten years. I was thinking as I watched him talk, that he looked like he'd stopped off at the funeral home and had his make-up done for his TV appearances.

He is 89 years old and was seriously wounded in WW II. He is a cancer survivor and has had other serious health issues in recent years. Yes, he does look old and sick, because he is. It took courage for him to speak in public recently and to show up on the floor of the Senate.

True, the party has changed since he was actively involved but maybe not that much. My least favorite memory of him was saying he would be the "chaperone" during the Clinton-Gore "honeymoon" period. It wasn't all that different from the obstructionism that Obama has faced. He was one tough old bird, for sure.
