Other "legal" uses for the metadata....

As long as these records are okey-dokey for mining purposes as long as no names are explicitly associated with the data I can see an obvious application in security background checks.

Submit your phone numbers and accounts and the "system" returns a score based on proximity to known security risks (and the media of course, we don't want leaks). Kind of a six degrees of Kevin Bacon thing.

I predict here and now that the people with whom our children associate will be a key factor in how successful they are in the long term. This kind of stuff will grow and be emulated by the private sector, and will only lock in social divisions in the long term. It used to be lineage, it will now be associates.
