Private for profit contractors engaged in war and espionage equals one thing

War Forever. Endless war. Endless boogeymen. As long as there is profit and no oversight or oversight with lying (ie clapper to wyden)..we're toast. Is it possible to reign this in? I don't know. I know that today I am very depressed about it. .but it just seems that there must be something to be done.. some legal way to stop it. Maybe not. Did anyone here ever think it would come to this when we began this war on terror? Its obscene. War and spying for profit in the name of the us govt. How do we roll this whole idea back or prove it illegal? How?

We're just screwed for all time on this. The current president is absolutely fine with it, and so are enough members of congress to keep it going. Their successors will just be more of the same. And before anyone chimes in with a variation of it "it's our fault if we don't make sure we elect people that will change this" I say a great big fat "go fuck yourself." OBAMA was supposed to change this, and the only way he changed it was to make it worse.

Maybe two.. and that's just a possibility, you could be right. I hold out hope for a planetary changing event, a visit from aliens or some huge scientific discovery that will help feed and house all the people on the planet... It's going to take something big to make us change direction..

might be our only hope. Our govt does not listen to liberals or the ACLU or Occupy. But it bends over backward to accommodate the Tea Party. If we can get them to start screaming about this, maybe we can start a movement that won't be ignored. Maybe they can put the fear of God in those intruding on our privacy. God knows we progressives can't.

There was never suppose to be an end. When this started it was just a business plan.

to do is elect people who will stop paying them. That's about as legal as it gets in this country.

None of them, none, are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, or for their country, or even just to promote evil. If it wasn't for our money, they would go home. We asked them to do this, even set up bidding and select the ones who buy us the most pizza and pay for the most golf.

Kind of like most politicians.
