Why I just donated to the ACLU
The ACLU has filed a lawsuit objecting to the NSA metadata collection. I followed a link and read the filing from here on DU.

After reading it, I realized that while many of the Politicians oppose my opinion, and many here are bothered by my views on the issues, the ACLU not only agrees with me, but is taking action as only they can.
So I decided that money normally donated to politicians, that I set aside every month would be better spent on this effort. Money that would have gone to helping re-elect John Barrow is now going to the ACLU, because while every Politician has sworn to defend the Constitution, the ACLU is apparently the only ones serious about doing that.
I occasionally donate to the ACLU, never regularly, and never much. But with this one donation, I've matched more than a decade of giving to the ACLU.
If you fight for me I'll support you is the message I'm sending. I wonder if anyone besides the NSA is listening in Washington?
