Should the US ever intervene militarily when genocide is taking place abroad?

No. We have enough problems at home and should mind our own business. We should never intervene militarily even when genocide is taking place.

Yes. US military intervention is sometimes appropriate when genocide is taking place abroad.

and if we act like it, as has happened before, we look a LOT more like Mafia enforcers than ministering angels of justice.

Even WWII gets mixed reviews. There was a lot of nobility and sacrifice from the 99%, and a lot of complicity in the evils from the 1% Self-Elected Elitists.

In a time of Fascism, which we are currently entering, it is wiser to stay home and take care of the larger problem of self-governance, before deciding we know better than others how to run THEIR lives.

Offer airlifts, offer sanctuary, but let the bastards kill each other off. God will sort them out. Save the women and children, yes. But bring them here.

You would be surprised how quickly one could burn out the violence by removing the victims.
