The Real Snowden Question

#OCCUPYBLACKBOX
Edward Snowden inspires a new generation of whistleblowers to turn the light on.

Adbusters 13 June 2013

Here's the question everyone is asking:

“Is Edward Snowden a hero or a criminal, a whistleblower or a traitor?”

But here’s the question they really should be asking:

“Does America still have its original revolutionary backbone, or are we a nation of sheep?”

It sounds like somebody who wants the system torn down.

I don't.

"The System" is not everything.

If the evolving, unified, for-profit, military-intel-police-surveillance-national-security-top-secret-PMC-deep-state is "the system," then yes, it needs to be torn down!

I like to think there's more to life than a government's fetish for controlling everything on behalf of capital. That can go without losing very much.

Will the terrorist win?

I think it should all be made public. I'd feel safer. Plus, we could use the technology for noble stuff, like fighting crime and corruption. The tools really are perfect for that.

I can't be sure how many of those people are benefiting from this though- bad to poll the people from the inside about what they think of life on the outside.

is that the average American's standard of living is only possible by virtue of our military-industrial-financial complex pillaging the third world. For every luxury enjoyed by an American, there is someone starving or living in squalor somewhere else. Doing away with our international coercion and resource extraction engine will mean someone will have to do without an iPhone, and we can't have that.

Eeeewwww....I Know.

You know, I posted the thread here, but here is the direct link.

After that read, (and some dry links) PO you...we can start.

Snowden does not matter, it's what he...and a few others over the last ten years, have revealed that matter.

Where is Frank Church when we need him? Not in the current Congress...so...what now?
