Today's gun tragedy, mom and son in possible murder/suicide
PLANO, Texas (AP) — Police in a Dallas suburb are investigating the deaths of a mid-20s woman and her 4-year-old son in a possible murder-suicide.
Plano (PLAY'-no) police said Friday that officers responding to a welfare call found the woman and her son dead. Each had a gunshot wound. A handgun was found at the scene.
Officer David Tilley says officers are still investigating a possible motive, but all indications are that the mother shot her son.
