Certainly there is well-funded opposition among the wealthy, but, as Occupy showed, there is strong sentiment for fairer and more equal distribution of wealth, and there do exist political and electoral mechanisms to change tax policy and other law.

stamps, It has bothered me greatly.
Why couldnt we, as a group, start a fund that buys gift cards for
grocery stores?
I could pitch in some, and maybe, in a small way, we can help some people eat.
One post in that thread brought tears to my eyes, a guy was describing how he was struggling to feed 4 kids.
That was US when I was growing up. NOBODY should be hungry, nobody.
I think we could do something good and right.
Lets feed some hungry folks.
I dont know how we could go about it, any ideas?
