This wanting business all seems a bit complicated. Julian wanted to be with the Swedes, until the Swedes wanted him, and now he doesn't want to be with them anymore. He hoped India might want him but they didn't. And he's afraid the US wants him but perhaps they don't. The Ecuadorians wanted him for a while but now that they have him, they want the UK to say they don't want him so they can show him the door -- and now Julian's complaining the UK doesn't really want him
