Sunday's sun has just begun to shine on Sarah Palin. Please come CAPTION this heiress of zilch!!!

Sarah Palin, with the sensibility of a tepid bath, is saying, "When I said nuke Syria, flatten it, stamp out both the rebels and the government, then let Allah sort them out, it's because I'm a religious woman."

If you put the statement in quotes into google, this is the ONLY hit. It is a very very inflammatory statement and because Palin is a total loose cannon, many will take it as real - in spite of no link.

We are better than this. I know I hate things the right has (incorrectly) said that Obama, Kerry, Clinton, Biden etc have said. Palin says enough outrageous things for real - making them up is not good - especially as something like this could be taken as truth and repeated. Viral spread of anything that confirms people views on a political figure is a risk - and once spread are really hard to dispel.

My apologies if you have a source.

an ancient variety. Exaggerating a person's positions (or showing their hypocrisy, or what they would say if they thought they could get away with it, etc.) by dramatically putting words in their mouths.

But when we're at our best, we try to capture the essence of that person, channel him or her, if you will.

If you are going to use quotes - then use the DU standard or or something to indicate that it is made up.

The use of the word CAPTION as a verb should make the situation clear. If there are mistakes, I usually clarify.

But I don't tell people what to do. (Even at 66 with 10 books to my name.)

^snip^

“Where is our commander in chief?” Palin said. “We’re talking now more new interventions. I say until we know what we’re doing, until we have a commander in chief who knows what he’s doing, well, let these radical Islamic countries who aren’t even respecting basic human rights, where both sides are slaughtering each other as they scream over an arbitrary red line, ‘Allah Akbar,’ I say until we have someone who knows what they’re doing, I say let Allah sort it out.”

She is just Obama bashing. You really should change your OP. What you have in quotes is not a quote.
