We need an end to Gerrymandering - there should be no "safe" districts - not for Republicans and not for Democrats.

I just don't like it when "lets take these three towns of solid republican voters then skip over this black community, and kind of loop around to tie in with this other town that's solidly republican"

And after all, if you loose, you can always use you're influence and connections to become a lobbyist.
Even at that, thanks to citizens united it is companies behind the lobbyists that cast the actual vote.
One dollar = one vote.
Throw money at it, plenty of commercials on the TV, a little scandal here, a little promise there......
Do you really think that any elected official will lose the next race because they voted against background checks?
We're all involved in the NSA scandal now, background checks are already down the memory hole.
