anti-woman legislative blitz. It's Trent Franks' amendment, but since he has joined the long list of Repug men who have stepped on their dicks with asinine "rape" comments he is, at least momentarily, Todd Aikinesque in his toxicity.
But I have to admit, I'm at a loss as to how a woman, any woman, could willingly lead the charge to roll back not only her own, but every woman in the country's constitutionally protected reproductive rights.

(31,464 posts)She was a guest on one of the news shows today. As she learned at GOP School, never stop talking! Use up the time no one can ask questions. She made the claim that the vast majority of Americans agreed with this anti-abortion bill. The host (I believe it was Thomas Roberts, but I wasn't actually watching, just listening) attempted to point out the fallacy of her claim. She literally would not stop talking, barely even took a breath. She would not allow him to respond or ask questions. He finally politely cut her off, explaining that if wasn't even going to be allowed to speak, there was no point in continuing. She didn't seem to care. She got to read her script. I'm sure the GOP elders will reward her handsomely.
Aunt Tom, indeed.
