others appear to just wanna support that case as vocal or silent enablers, with or without the Pontius Pilate bowl handy

I seem to remember that when people who supported Hillary instead of Obama in 2008, they were racist at worst, feminazis at best, but now if they don't support Hillary in 2016 they are not Democrats.
I stopped caring, really, the name-calling doesn't ever affect or change my vote.

I've used DU for it's news-gathering almost since it was formed, but didn't read the comments and haven't participated until the last year or so, so I missed all that.

Given what I've experienced since joining, I can't say I am surprised at that.

in particular.
It is kind of a sadly funny thing now, though, that some think Hillary will have my vote just because neither of us has a penis.
When being a Hillary supporter in 2008 meant, at some places, that I was voting with my genitalia as the only reason.
Odd how things turn out though - now I just do not want another corporate DLC type, gender didn't matter then, gender doesn't matter now. But blaming votes on gender is sure handy when one doesn't want to talk about issues or experience or deeds.
Like flinging the racist card around.

and even being a sexist for supporting BHO instead of her in 2008. You're entirely correct -- it's just a dodge intended to end the conversation, like Goodwin's Law makes the case for. It's an attempt to incite some emoting to avoid an examination of the facts and the opinions they support.

I'll reluctantly vote for HC (assuming she runs and gets the nod) in 2016 for the same reason I always vote for the dem -- the SCOTUS appointments.
