You know those stick-figure car stickers out there:
They're annoying, but cute.
They even have silly shoes as "people":
So when I saw this one yesterday I had to rethink why would someone put this on their car:
Seriously?? Guns are your family now?? Losers. You are so obsessed with your guns that you are now propping them up as your "family"??

(13,985 posts)This is still a free country and people can put on their vehicles whatever stickers they want.

(25,927 posts)Free speech is a two-way street. And, for the record, nobody is trying to restrict the content of whatever kind of sticker one wishes to place on their vehicle - no matter how insipid they may be.

(13,985 posts)On their cars.
Some people colect stamps, others colect vintage toy cars , other colect guns.
All the gun colectors I have ever met were super responsible, safe people.

(7,429 posts)I said it was LAME
If you prop up your gun as your family I think you're an idiot. I guess I don't have the right to say that
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)It's funny you didn't pick on other "lame" stickers though. Imo, I personally consider all this anti gun propaganda lame.
So to each their own I guess.

(7,429 posts)I said they were annoying - HELLO??
I find all of those stickers annoying and LAME. But guns as family members is pretty STUPID!
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)It's not me having "reading comprehansion problems", someone else in this exchange
Your aversity for guns is obvious, because there are people.who colect tons of silly, stupid objects which mean everything for them. But you pick on gunz.
RockaFowler
(7,429 posts)That is SILLY
I question people who put guns above people for the sake of their silly guns.
And yes if you consider your gun family - you are stupid. Sorry but you are
People are family. Dogs and Cats and Fish can be family. But guns?? Really?? Wow
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)Lol!!! Like I said, to each their own! Some chose to live alone with no family members or pets. That's what they like. Who are we to call them stupid?
But you can do so, its your right. And so its mine to disagree with you.

(10,164 posts)I think I finally figured out why you are allowed to stay here. You advocating for gun rights is about the best argument for heavy control measures one could come up with.

(3,621 posts)What I said was true and you come back in an attempt to mock me. You have no more to offer by way of discussion or disagreement.
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)You"re the one thinking negatively of millions of people you have never met. That kind of preconception is silly to say the least. Unlike you, I don't assume people are bad, unless proven otherwise.

(5,937 posts)I've told people that you are giving potential predators details about your family size, genders, and sometimes even names and ages and if you have pets. Sometimes these are accompanied by a volleyball or softball decal with a childs name.

(7,429 posts)One of the reasons why I hate bumper stickers of all kinds. First of all they mess up the paint on your vehicle. But secondly, you have no idea the lunatics that are on the road. What happens if they take it wrong?? Plus I still think it looks foolish having a McCain sticker on your vehicle. Or a Rmoney sticker.

(38,310 posts)Step two: Wait until they've all left the house.
Step three: Steal their guns.
It's the free guns for gangsters program.
Some people in our community have learned the hard way why it's not a good idea to put one of those "Forget the Dog, Beware of Owner" gun signs on their house or a pro-gun bumper sticker on their car.
The gangs don't really want to steal your stuff, they can take their drug money to Best Buy and purchase an Xbox like anyone else. But they do like their stolen untraceable guns and ammunition.

(39,154 posts)The gun ones essentially say to burglars, "Please rob my house or car."

Hassin Bin Sober
(26,324 posts)Her facebook photos are all her with guns. Her profile pic was a picture of a gun pointing in your face.
Her car has NRA gun stickers all over it.
The house has "protected by smith and Wesson" stickers on the doors and windows.
She tells everyone she meets she owns guns. Pulls them out for all visitors.
But she doesn't want to register the guns AND she freaked out when her niece tried to take a picture of one of the guns - Get this, she doesn't want it advertised she owns guns. LOL
Bonus bat shit crazy: She informed us her gun crazy friend told her we (my boyfriend and I) know too much about her guns and ammo stash - we could be tortured to reveal it.

(27,787 posts)i want to go to a gun show, and then stand outside and ask people to sign my petition: "Gun owners against a national gun registry".
And then say to them "We gun owners need to stand together and tell the government that we will never let them put our names on a list of gun owners ... never!"
And then ask them to sign the petition "So I can send it to the government and let them know exactly where we stand on this important issue."
I bet I'd get most of them to sign it immediately.
