A warning from way back when...from FDR

The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. ”

— Franklin D. Roosevelt, April 29, 1938. Message to congress.

And there are some that would say because it is not new it don't matter...and I can't figure out why,
It seems to me it matters more, because they saw it coming from the start.

It is the root cause of every one of our problems. Big Oil/Coal is in fact dooming the whole planet.

Right now the taxes on the rich are so low that they are just competing for positions on the Forbes Richest 400 list with no care for the country , people or planet.

But you have one legitimate complaint against him compared to many things he did right....the reverse of Obama as it stands now.

FDR refused to have the federal government get involved in preventing LYNCHINGS in the south.

Combine that with racist concentration camps, and he has the worst civil liberties record of any president in the 20th century.

Much, much, much worse than Obama's civil rights/civil liberties record.
