Dean Would Consider Another Presidential Bid

Howard Dean told CNN that he would consider another run for the White House.

Said Dean: "I am not driven by my own ambition. What I am driven by is pushing the country in a direction that it desperately needs to be pushed; pushing other politicians who aren't quite as frank as I am who need to be more candid with the American people about what needs to happen. I am not trying to hedge, it's a hard job running. It's really tough. I am doing a lot of things I really enjoy. But you should never say never in this business."

He added: "If you had to put a gun to my head and make me decide right now, I wouldn't. But who knows?"

He was wronged, but is the RIGHT person to help us start to turn around the mess that has become this country.

Part of the reason the trashing worked was that he had no national track record. Now after years of national exposure, people have evidence-based conceptions of who he is, which makes him harder to misrepresent.

The Dean Scream could play out to his advantage in a future election, tending to insulate him from similar bogus defamation.

most Dean supporters realize that on some issues he's moderate.

Not sure I'd support him again, but you never know.

My two biggest questions for any candadite are going to be where they stand on campaign finance reform and funding public education.

Say what you will about his ability to appeal to young people, and his "50 State Strategy" as DNC chair. hhe was a LOUSY candidate who couldn't achieve the fundamental goal of a good one: getting people to actually VOTE for him.
