Obamacare in 2014 can't come soon enough...

I have to keep this extremely general, due to the nature of my job, but today I received a call from someone about their medication, they wanted to know why they had to pay full price for it. I saw the claim and told them they reached the annual maximum benefit for the year. That maximum is 2 thousand dollars. The medication in question is vital, I will leave it at that, and costs hundreds of dollars without coverage from the insurance company.

This aspect of Obamacare I absolutely adore, because I won't be put in a position of explaining why the patient can't get their medication because its too expensive and their insurance plan is too cheap to pay for their prescriptions for a full year.

So am I. Thankfully the plan we offer is excellent. The biggest complaints I get are when people find out what COBRA costs, especially for family or 2-adult coverage. They have no idea that's what your insurance *really* costs per month.

Some plans are really good when it comes to prescription coverage, others are really bad.

will it do much to address our cost structure. But I support the good that it does.

Medicare for everyone.

I'm not a fan of most of Obamacare, but getting rid annual and lifetime limits was needed and necessary.
