Op-Ed In Chinese Communist Party Newspaper Blasts Washington Over Snowden, Hacking

Op-Ed In Chinese Communist Party Newspaper Blasts Washington Over Snowden, Hacking

The official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party railed against the U.S. government's accusation that the Chinese government compelled Hong Kong to let National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden flee to Russia in a front-page commentary published Tuesday, according to the Guardian.

"Not only did the US authorities not give us an explanation and apology, it instead expressed dissatisfaction at the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for handling things in accordance with law," said the overseas edition of China's People's Daily, as quoted by the Guardian.

The commentary also expressed concern over Snowden's allegations that the U.S. had hacked computer networks in China.

"In a sense, the United States has gone from a 'model of human rights' to 'an eavesdropper on personal privacy', the 'manipulator' of the centralized power over the international Internet, and the mad 'invader' of other countries' networks," the piece read.

I tell no one to post anything or not post anything
if I did I would be one of the authoritarians everyone is so pantybunched about
but spam is spam and the acknowledgement on my part of spamminess is not anything but an acknowledgement of spam
and again is snowden a hero ? please reference me saying that because in general I am out of this discussion of hero or villain because I am more interested in what exactly the government is doing and its constitutionality
not its legality its constitutionality
all kinds of horrifying things have been done through history and the one thing they have in common is they were legal for the people who did them
legal dont equal right
that's in the list of things my dad taught me that was being belittled btw

Lots of barking though when its pointed out that the way that these asswipes (snowden, greenwald) went about this is pointed out as not being the proper proceedure
I for one appreciate you and what you've been doing. I say keep up the good work.

I suspect my Mypost will light up here in a tad with those who are offended because they don't like the message calling me all kinds of names. I realize that is the way it seems to be around here anymore

You're trying to shut up discussion about NUPEAP (the NSA Up Everyone's Ass Program) by posting many, many threads insinuating Snowden's a spy and Greenwald's his accomplice. Then pretend there's no affinity among defenders of authoritarianism when Yoo lines up with You.
