If Hillary is the candidate in 2016, how will right wing smears go over with the public?

I am not advocating for her candidacy or saying that a rerun of old smears should disqualify her either, but this is one aspect of her candidacy I'm curious about (I'm sure she is too).

Whether or not the smears works depends on whether she is the candidate of Wall St and big money

Americans for the most part are dumb. How many thought Obama really said they didn't build their own businesses? They even were okay with it being their slogan for a time. Even the news outlets didn't correct them. It will work for the GOP as long as they stay away from women's issues. Wolf Shitzer will be right there to lick everything up the GOP tells him too.

That most people no longer listen. In fact, I think their endless negativity has hurt them in recent elections.

I live in Ohio so we got endless attack ads and people were just irritated by it in the end. And because of all the hiding behind groups with anonymous donors, most people I know didn't believe them anyway.

Most people know the right hates the Clintons so I think everything they say about them is taken with a grain of salt.

Misogynous attacks which could back fire on them, with GOP women. Those who are smart enough to know, that despite a woman's political leanings, will see that their own rights will be infringed upon.

trying to smear her. But the american public believes they know her by now, and view her as competent and tough. I don't think it will stick. I do see recent grocery store tabloids are trying to smear her with some sort of sex scandal but no one gives them much credence.
