Snowden still in Moscow airport according to BBC.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-23053915

Fugitive US whistleblower Edward Snowden is still in the transit area at Moscow airport, Russia's President Vladimir Putin has confirmed.

Mr Putin said the intelligence leaker remained a free man, and the sooner he chose a destination the better.

But a White House spokeswoman said Russia had a "clear legal basis" to expel Mr Snowden.

Because Mr Snowden is in the pre-immigration area of the airport, he is technically not yet on Russian soil.

The Russians have rejected American charges that they have assisted Mr Snowden.

Tom Hanks will play Snowden in the movie version.

He just needs to bump into a Catherine Zeta-Jones lookalike in the transit lounge.

Edward Snowden is not booked to fly out of Moscow over the next three days, and with no valid passport, the NSA whistleblower might be stuck in airport limbo indefinitely.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange told RT that Snowden had been given special refugee documents by the Ecuadorian government which facilitated his travel to Russia. It is unclear whether he can continue traveling on that document.

However, the group warned via Twitter on Wednesday that "cancelling Snowden's passport and bullying intermediary countries may keep Snowden permanently in Russia.”

We had the right to cancel the passport, since there is an arrest warrant. The Russians are not bullied as they have refused to extradite. HK could have arrest him as they even have an extradition treaty, so it's hard to make these countries out as victims of US "bullying."

I would have expected them to be more objective than that.

A few days in the Moscow airport can change a man.
