Given that State Republican governments have used hacked voting machines and confusing ballots to win elections for years, THEY WILL MOST CERTAINLY OPPOSE IT.

So, we win either way. At best, we get fair voting practices in the Constitution, and Republicans look anti-democratic for opposing it. At WORST we don't get the Amendment, but the GOP still looks petty and anti-democratic for defeating it.

2. I doubt it. The Democrats in Congress really have to be pushed by their base before they ACT like

Democrats.

The Country-Club Democrats in the Senate have taken minority voters for granted FAR too long. I can easily envision them pathetically trying to pass some watered down BILL in the Senate, counting votes, making backroom deals, and having Harry Reid phegmatically whispering into the floor microphone about how important this is....

FUCK THAT, THIS IS WAR! The GOP had declared WAR on minority voters by doing this, we need to GUARANTEE that the Democrats in Congress don't respond in their usual vapid, half-assed way.
