(154,021 posts)Our fire season started two months early. We have had three major fires in SoCal alone. Cal Fire is 1000+ fire responses ahead of schedule and we expect this season to be epic.

(36,286 posts)flipped from a cool Spring to a hot Spring and back a couple times. I keep seeing warnings for other sections of the country and was wondering how things are playing out.

(650 posts)The light is so weird due to the Sun being so far North. Our squirrels and crows are eerily quiet.

If people aren't worried about the weather, they aren't watching the Weather Channel.

(111,241 posts)What we need is a Pacific hurricane to come up the Gulf of California and rain itself out over us.
As it is, we're having an interesting fire season because a kink in the jet stream is cutting off the monsoonal flow up from Mexico.
