It is great it was not passed a law in the state of Texas who would in effect made it illegal for womans to decide over their own health and their own body... I Think it was the best outcome - the opposite would have doing more harm than good - in fact no good, but just harm...

I believe, a woman should decide over their own body - and what to do with it - include a controversial issue as abortion - it is legal - and should stay legal - even if some have objection to it..

Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst “It’s over. It’s been fun. But see you soon.”

You can depend on the GOP to do mean stupid things.

So true - they wil not stop before they at least try to get what they want - one way or another - but at least this law was not made into law in the great state of texas..

Other states may have more activists or more seasoned activists. But down here things tend to get a little weird... and when they get weird, Texans get awesome.

What about NC?
Looks more like an "American Spring" there right now than Texas.
From what I've been reading, more and more people are starting to show up for the Moral Monday protests.
Each arrest brings in more protestors.

What the GOP is doing to my home state if horrifying. But that so many people from all walks of life are standing up to it is heartening.

Ever hear of a little thing called Occupy Wall Street?

However, I do plan to use this as ammo against the next half-dozen or so Texas-bashers that show up here.

Has it's own unique set of pro's and cons.
Being a Southern Progressive, I can't stand it when people bash the South for things that happen everywhere on the planet.
