One's best hope for religious freedom lies in a constitutionally secular nation. This was a great ruling not only for civil rights, but for religious freedom. By not codifying prejudice based in the religious preferences of the majority, America continues to protect everyone's rights to practice their private and personal religion or the absence of it as they see fit.
