States Rights?

I would think that the conservatives of the South, who are still fighting the Civil War, would embrace today DOMA decision. After all, it affirms states' rights to pass their own laws separately from the Federal government.

Wasn't this the battle cry of the Civil War?

1. RWNJs have double standards regarding states' rights

It's OK for them to pass oppressive laws that deny minorities the right to vote, but let a Democratic state pass laws legalizing pot, for instance, and right away they want the Federal government to nullify the laws.

2. In short, continue with their hypocrisy that we've seen

with the "family values" people who cheat on their wives any chance they got.
