I was on a jury in a murder trial. The defense attorney spent most of his time trying to discredit the witnesses. He had the same attitude and tried to pull apart their statements by nitpicking on every word. It's effect on the jury was that it just confused everyone and irritated the witnesses....this is exactly what is happening in this case. I don't think it will work......

IIRC, Zimmerman's attorney must provide an affirmative defense. He has to demonstrate that Zimmerman felt he was in imminent danger with no chance of retreat. A key part of Zimmerman's testimony is that Martin ambushed him.

The gist I remember reading yesterday was her testimony suggests the opposite: that Zimmerman ambushed Martin.

The defense has to destroy her because if her testimony stands and is believable, Zimmerman's claim of being ambushed is gone and he is toast.

What isn't commonly known here(DU) is that the defense is trying to create a narrative around how her testimony here today, AND this trial came about. how she was tracked down, and cajoled by Crump, Trayvon's mother, and forced into this situation. Possibly improperly.

DeeDee is easy pickings for this purpose.

Most of the Pro-GZ forums/blogs are focused on this more than even the witnesses and facts. Surprisingly there is much sympathy for DeeDee herself. For some reason they think, in their minds, she is in real danger herself.

DeeDee is NOT the main target of the defense anymore. The entire prosecution apparatus is.
